Sunday Worship Service
Parking surrounds the church. Handicap parking spaces are located near the front of the building providing easy wheel chair access as well as street level access for seniors.
As you enter the church, a guest book is located close to the sanctuary where friends and family members will welcome you to our church.
Our nursery is close at hand when you enter the church. Volunteers staff the nursery, if there isn't a volunteer on duty, feel free to watch the service on the nursery television. There are plenty of books, toys, games, etc., for your children to enjoy.
Once inside the sanctuary, ushers will be on hand to give you a service bulletin with today's service as well as upcoming church events. They are just inside the sanctuary and will be happy to help you find a seat.
Pastor Dan will update the congregation with announcements, highlight any special events, and note service changes. We open every service with an opening hymn. Scriptures are read by volunteers, a children's sermon is shared, our sermon for the day is based on the scriptures, and we pray together.
We are fortunate to have many talented musicians who share their gifts through our choir and provide special performances.
All are welcome at God's table as we practice communion at each service by intinction (dipping the bread in the wine) or at the rail (bread and wine is received kneeling traditionally). The ushers guide our congregation to the front of the church to receive communion. All children are blessed and are given a grape.
We receive the blessing before we leave. At the end of the service, we meet with family and friends in the fellowship hall for coffee and snacks. There are many activities that follow our worship service, Sunday school, choir practice, and great conversation. Join us! |
